Hansgrohe, the name of the international group of which Axor is a part, is a well-established company in the field of showers, shower systems, bathroom and kitchen faucets and kitchen sinks. On June 15, 1901, in the small town of Schiltach in the Black Forest, Hans Grohe started a craft business for the production of bent metal products. Brass pots, switch parts and tin showers for the home bathroom; it only took a few years for the products, which were aimed at a niche market at the time, to spread to all German homes. At the time, showers were a viable alternative to bathtubs, which allowed Hansgrohe to specialize in the sector. Some of the most remarkable projects today: the luxurious Queen Mary 2 transatlantic and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, one of the tallest buildings in the world.
